Permission to Play

What will it take to allow time for play..

Horses have to feel safe to roll around on the ground within the herd or with humans around. It can be a vulnerable move for them. Whenever I am able to witness this it makes my heart tingle and I feel the energy of laughter and playfulness. Its infectious! When I am in the pasture with clients and, we witness this rolling, it always seems to shift the energy and many times we acknowledge that it sparks a feeling of giddy energy and/or release. The release can be in the form of the physical or the emotional. It also can serve as a reminder to let loose, shake it out, and experience the freedom to move your body. Its a reminder of where we are holding tension and what holds us back from that joyful release. When is the last time you allowed yourself to move around without care to who's watching?

Practice:
As you watch the above video become aware of what shakes or stirs in you. What shifts as you witness the horses movement? Is there anywhere you are feeling sensation in your body? Any area you’d like to shake out or move?
